SUMMERS

yes summers... summer internships are times when you disconnect with your academics but not your professsion. And this to me, is a chance to see things around and inside. I consider myself lucky to do summers again - those who have not done a post grad. would easily realise - as pgdm student at IIM Raipur, for it has given me the time and confidence to re-nurture my inclination to write and reflect. Coming soon with a set of poems which I penned down while attending lectures.
Also, will soon be going to Chitrakote, India's largest waterfall located in Bastar region...hope to connect with nature and come up with few genuine lines.

this was on special request of Gaurav...my roommate during grad project. he was not satisfied with his efforts on whatever he laid his hands on. and i penned it the same night....21st march at 1:00 am. here it goes..... Chasing the dreams shadows of self into the darkness, somewhere near the hell. Turbulent ideas, excitement soared but could not hear the silent roar. Instead heard a familiar sound realizing I had lost my ground running harder and faster for some solution confusing confusion and defying delusion. satisfaction stood forever at bay in the dyeing nights and ageing days with a shot of shot of vodka and a thunderbolt shaking ribs with euphoric jolt. finally I had defeated my soul and the chase has taken its toll.

28th March 2020 - Day 4 - The Corona Migration Crisis What is it with me and weekends & holidays that I wake up so early. Today it was really really early, may be around 04:30 AM. May be it was a bit too early from my standards as well. But I did not regret. Here is what I woke up to. Use earphones, this was a rookie attempt. Covid-19 pandemic was getting worse. It had claimed almost 20 lives in India and almost about 1000 were infected. Infections have crossed 100,000 in US while global death count was ~25000. While going through the routine of morning updates on twitter, face book and corona contagion, I made tea today. Nothing for the first time, but yes for the first time in many days.
