women empowerment has really come of age in india. what better incident to prove it than the ocassion of elders house passing passing the bill of 33% reservation for women in assemblies and parliament. but i had a rather stange and pleasently surprising realty check to understand the gravity of women empowerment and international women's day celebrations. the day was no different than other days when i reached factory on morning of 8th of march. suddenly i realised there was more of colour and jingles around tahn any normal working day. my first thoughts were that i am still hallucinating under heavy dose of booze i had last night. it took me some time to realise that i was not hallucinating and it was already day, not night anymore. i assumed now it must be one of those numerous festivals and religious occasions which are part of south indian style of life. after all the apparels and accessories donned by the ladieswere creating a run roit, being perfectly complemented by ar...
