SATISFACTION
this was on special request of Gaurav...my roommate during grad project. he was not satisfied with his efforts on whatever he laid his hands on. and i penned it the same night....21st march at 1:00 am. here it goes.....
Chasing the dreams
shadows of self
into the darkness, somewhere near the hell.
Turbulent ideas, excitement soared
but could not hear the silent roar.
Instead heard a familiar sound
realizing I had lost my ground
running harder and faster for some solution
confusing confusion and defying delusion.
satisfaction stood forever at bay
in the dyeing nights and ageing days
with a shot of shot of vodka and a thunderbolt
shaking ribs with euphoric jolt.
finally I had defeated my soul
and the chase has taken its toll.
